Child Safety Standards

Our commitment to keeping children safe and our zero-tolerance stance on child sexual abuse and exploitation.

Last updated: 25 July 2026

1. Our commitment

My Family Signal exists to help families stay connected and safe. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We are committed to preventing, detecting, and responding to any such content or behaviour on our Service, and to complying with all applicable child-safety laws in the places we operate.

2. Prohibited conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on My Family Signal and will result in immediate action, including removal of content and termination of accounts:

  • Creating, uploading, sharing, requesting, or linking to child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form.
  • Sexualising, grooming, or attempting to sexually exploit or abuse a minor (anyone under 18).
  • Using the Service to contact, lure, coerce, or facilitate the exploitation of a child.
  • Any other conduct that endangers, exploits, or sexualises a child.

These standards apply to every user of My Family Signal and are part of our Terms & Conditions and acceptable-use rules.

3. How to report a concern

If you encounter content or behaviour that you believe involves the sexual abuse or exploitation of a child, please report it to us immediately. You can:

  • Email our child-safety team at childsafety@myfamilysignal.com.
  • Use the in-app reporting option (Settings → Report a concern) to flag a user, message, or content.

Reports can be made confidentially. Please include as much detail as you safely can, such as the user involved, what you saw, and when it happened. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

4. Our response process

When we receive a report or otherwise become aware of potential CSAE, we act promptly. Our process includes:

  • Review: Our safety team reviews every report as a priority, typically within 24 hours.
  • Action: We remove confirmed CSAM and take enforcement action against the accounts involved, including suspension and permanent removal.
  • Preservation: We preserve relevant evidence as required by law to support investigations.
  • Reporting: We report confirmed CSAM to the appropriate authorities (see below).
  • Follow-up: Where appropriate, we cooperate with law-enforcement requests.

In accordance with our legal obligations, we report confirmed child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via its CyberTipline, and cooperate with law enforcement as required. Where local law requires reporting to another designated authority, we do so as well.

6. Child safety point of contact

For any question or concern related to child safety on My Family Signal, our designated point of contact is:
